Profile & History
The company was formed in 1994 and is based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Today, Environmental Acoustics, Inc. is comprised of a diverse and experienced team of professionals specializing in the design of architectural acoustics, auralizaton, performance audio, video presentation, theatrical lighting, and stage equipment systems. We also offer in-house expertise in structural engineering and electrical engineering. This combination of professional skills uniquely qualifies EAI to design quality systems on time and within budget for worship centers, performing arts theaters, large-scale venues such as sports arenas, business, and government. EAI has designed advanced technology systems for dozens of facilities in the past five years.
Mission & Philosophy

Our mission is to "create extraordinary and lasting sensory designs through science, engineering and art." We take great care to listen to the needs of the client and understand how to design systems within their budgets. We have designed acoustic spaces ranging in size from 500 to 25,000 seats and routinely partner with architects and contractors to accomplish demanding results for our customers. EAI follows through on the design to see that it is installed to our specifications.

The Cutting Edge
We at EAI are very proactive in the pursuit of technologies and training in order to provide our customers with cutting edge designs. One such example of EAI's capabilities is the computerized analysis of physical room acoustics and the ability to LISTEN to the acoustics of a space or an engineered sound system, BEFORE it is built! This process is known as auralization We know that the best way to judge acoustic and audio system performance and quality is to listen with your own ears... just the way you would if buying a stereo sound system for your home or car. Auralization software allows you to do just that... even before the facility is under construction!
Sound EquipmentStaff Expertise
Our staff has earned professional recognition in acoustics, electronics, and arts, including a multiple Grammy Award winning recording engineer and recipient of the Federal Highway Administration's 1997 Environmental Excellence Award in Noise Abatement. We hold memberships in the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC), Audio Engineering Society (AES), National Transportation Research Board (NTRB), and serve as adjunct faculty members to Lebanon Valley College and Harrisburg Area Community College.

Through continuous quality improvement, we strive to offer designs that maximize system performance within allocated budgets. Our ability to provide a direct design linkage between acoustics and engineered audio video presentation and control systems, theatrical lighting, and stage equipment -- in one integrated design package -- is what sets Environmental Acoustics, Inc. apart.
